Rebranding for a group of talented architects, designers and marketing gurus was no small feat. Fortunately, the firm was highly collaborative which made the process rewarding. Formed in 2007, and based in Charlotte, NC, Starr Design is recognized nationally for its restaurant and retail branding. With clients like Dean and Deluca, Panera Breads, and Hue, Starr understands how to connect people with environments and create a completely immersed, branded experience to stand the test of time. As part of the overall identity, the logo needed to feel integrated, sophisticated, modern, approachable, and authentic. 

SPOT was my co-owned pet accessory store in lower Manhattan. Brand identity, retail design, product development and PR were needed to launch the boutique. Our tagline came from the simple insight that, we don't own our pets, they own us...and since our pets love us unconditionally, they deserve to be pampered. The opening red carpet event included an astro-turf runway and "paw-peratzi", which attracted a star-studded canine crowd. Shellfish Growers of Virginia is a trade association dedicated to the advancement, expansion and well-being of the shellfish aquaculture industry of Virginia. It's approaching 60 million in revenue for the Commonwealth. The logo works to not only identify this group, but validate the state of Virginia as a substantial player in the shellfish growing industry.

 

Identity for UNC's music festival series.

 

 

 

Wake Forest University wanted a versatile logo for its prestigious women's group. The logo not only needed to fit within existing brand guidelines, but stand alone. The "w" and "f" were connected to work together to represent the highly supportive and collaborative nature of this group.
